Happy Canada Day!

It is strange how your mood can change in a single day. Today, we decided to throw a little normality into our lives as we packed up our car and took a road-trip out to Peterborough where Parker visited his Grand-MaMa for the very first time. We have not been to Peterborough since early November to visit my wife's parents and her grandmother. It was still close to two months before Parker was born that we got to visit with her grandmother, and it was definitely nice to see her.

Other than to go to the hospital on Tuesday's on Friday's we don't normally take Parker anywhere. But today was different. We called Nana and told her to get cleaning because we were going to come for a visit. Thank-you for doing such a great job! Now, I would like to say that Parker enjoys going on car rides, but that would be a lie. Most of you know that Parker is teething so being constrained to a car seat while his gums were sore was not a good combination. Parker spent the whole ride screaming at the top of his lungs. Then, when we turned on to my in-laws street, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. Funny little guy!

Parker's grand-mama was extremely happy to see her great grandson. My wife always asks her grandmother if she is her favourite, in which she always responds with a laugh. Today, when my wife asked, I told her that I think she was bumped by Parker. All joking aside, we had a wonderful time today visiting.

For those of you that enjoy the videos that I make of Parker, I have created a new one that you can grab from the right sidebar. It is a little bit longer in length and size but I was having so much fun making the video, it was hard to cut stuff out. The video is of Parker in his JollyJumper. Think hard and you maybe able to figure what the music is going to be before you watch it.

My wife and I would like to wish everyone a very happy Canada Day. We are so very appreciative of all of the kind words and support we get from everyone and it makes days like yesterday a little bit easier to swallow.
