It is hard to believe that we have been here for six weeks now. So far, everything has gone very well. Today, when we went to the hospital they used the central line that Parker had placed under his skin a week ago. We were a little worried how it would go the first time they used it, my wife actually left the room; however, it did go very well. It was much easier than drawing blood from his arm. i am sure when it is time to have an IV done we will see a world of difference.Nana and Gaga have been a big help since the arrived almost a week ago. Parker really enjoys
having them here and Gaga loves pushing him on his trike or stroller wherever he goes.Parker is currently sleeping, as is Gaga, while Mommy and Nana try and grab a few rays on the patio outside of reception. I was outside for a little bit but to be honest, it was a little bit warm for me. That is why I decided to come inside to write today's blog article.
We moved room a couple of days ago so that we had access to a second bedroom while Nana and
Gaga are here. The view is extremely nice from this room and it makes spending time in the room much more enjoyable.Parker's walking has gotten quite good the past week. He still is much faster when he crawls but he does seem to enjoy standing up in the middle of the room and then taking a few steps to something close to him. He would probably walk alot further if he did not start clapping for his accomplishments all the time. Parker seems to like being recognized for the good work that he
has been doing. Bravo, Parker!My Italian is continuing to improve and to be honest, so is my wife's. As she says, I have an ulterior motive for learning Italian as my mother was born in Italia.
Our friends from California are coming to Italy in the next week or so with their son who will also be going through with the procedure. We look forward to meeting them in person. It will be nice having someone else who speaks English and understands what we are going through.

Way to go Parker, I am glad that the central line doing what it is support to do and things are alittle less painful for you.
So your walking is coming alone, I can just see you running around with everyone when you come home.

How did you get to be so cute?!?!? Everytime I see another picture of you I think to myself wow...what a sweetie peetety (I know that this is not a word but I tried my best to make a rhyme!)
I am so glad that your central line is working well for you little one. I hope that is makes things much easier for the doctors to do their job and it keeps you more comfortable while they are doing it.

Say hi to your Mommy, Daddy, Nana, and Gaga! Tell them today that I was thinking AGAIN about our time in Mexico as I pictured your Mommy and your Nana out sitting on the patio in the warm sun...ahhhh...sounds wonderful!!

Way to go with the walking big guy! Keep up the good work cause your cousins like to run around alot and we're sure you'll have no trouble keeping up. I'm glad that the central line worked well....anything that makes your stay a little easier makes us all feel better. Take care.

I am so glad to see that all is going well. Everything that happens is just one step closer to you all coming home!
It will be great when you are home and running around with Elizabeth...two for Bear to keep up with his grey hair will double trying to keep an eye on both of you...poor doggie.
